Sound Field

Simon Plouffe specializes in sound recording for creative documentaries, television documentary series, as well as independent short and feature fiction films. His path through these different production contexts nourishes his approach, grounded in the idea that sound design is a way of storytelling in its own right, which is why he takes on sound design for all of his own films. His work was recognized with the Iris Award for Best Sound in 2019 (Those Who Come, Will Hear) and was nominated for Best Sound Design at the Canadian Screen Awards (CSA) in 2026 (Seeing Through the Darkness).
